Mining and OTR Service Technician
Dinosaur Les Schwab Tire Center, a family owned company with 66 years in the tire and automotive industry is currently seeking qualified Mining and OTR Tire Technician candidates. Full time position available.
Mining and OTR Technicians assess and repair damaged truck, ATV, industrial and mining tires.

Mining and OTR Technician requirements include:
At least 12 months of relevant OTR tire service experience is preferred
Ability to install OTR tires off site
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Attention to detail
Good safety record
Ability/experience with:
Dismount and mount any type of off-the-road tire including multi-piece rims. May also be required to service commercial truck, light truck and passenger tires.
Determine repairable tire conditions and make such repairs.
Mounting and safe inflation of tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements.
Operation of an OTR Service Boom Truck.
Operation of heavy duty tire service equipment and tools including boom cranes, cribbing, jacks, compressors, electric and hydraulic equipment.
In addition, technicians should be proficient in the basic use of computers. Technicians must be able to work independently with little supervision, be detail oriented and manage time well. Technicians should have strong troubleshooting, listening and critical thinking skills.
Mining and OTR technicians also provide service calls to remote locations. A valid driver's license - in good standing required.
This position operates in all types of indoor and outdoor work environments, therefore exposure to heat and cold is to be expected.
Excellent safety and attendance performance is expected.
Must be willing to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner.
Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team.
Must be a self-starter and willing to take the initiative, able and willing to work without direct supervision, and be willing to attend appropriate training sessions.
Must possess a mechanical aptitude.
Must be willing to perform service calls on nights and/or weekends on a rotating basis.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
OTR service training and certifications desired.
Good oral and written communication ability.
Must be able to pass a background check including employment history, SSN verification, criminal history, etc.
Must be able to pass a physical exam and drug test.
