Job Description:

Principal Duties:
As a Field Engineer, you will

  • Support a construction crew in monitoring construction contracts.

  • Assist the Resident Engineer in management of personnel and budgets.

  • Prepare engineering and design documents using computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment.

  • Be involved in the process of designing and developing engineering projects.

  • Work in a team to meet:

    • quality

    • scope

    • schedule

    • budget

    • safety requirements on assigned projects.

The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this position will have:

  • Have a Professional Engineer license in Utah in accordance with the provisions of Utah Code Annotated 58-22.

  • Prior road construction experience.

  • Organizational skills.

  • Experience with CADD/computer assisted drafting and design.?

  • The ability to read and interpret maps, plats, charts, plans, blueprints and electrical schematics.

  • Experience using engineering data processing application programs.

  • Experience working with the public and contractors.

Preference may be given to those who have at least 1 year of experience in the construction or materials field.

This position may be filled at the Engineer II level for applicants lacking a P.E. license. In order to qualify for the level II, you must have successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering examination and completed at least two years of post- graduate engineering experience. The Engineer II salary range is $25.23-$42.24.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
