Job Overview
General Responsibilities
The Electrician II will work directly under the supervision of a Supervisor or Manager in a shop environment in the repair and rebuild of Joy electrical equipment and components.
Predominant Tasks
Primary focus on a safe work environment and employing safe work practices on a consistent basis. Participate in risk assessment at the start of the shift.
Responsible for the repair and rebuilding electrical components on all Joy equipment.
Disassembles electrical control cases, panels, cable reels and all other related electrical equipment.
Removes all wiring, cleans electrical connections, paints panels and control cases.
Checks electrical components with required meters and replacing or repairing parts as required.
Uses Joy prints, schematics and various diagrams to reassemble and install control cases, panel boards, cable reels and other electrical components.
Tests function of reassembled equipment.
Troubleshooting, newly rebuilt components and machines.
Responsibility to prevent damages due to mistakes or carelessness to equipment or materials.
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
Minimize rework by closely following work scopes and manufacturing operation procedures.
Must work well under pressure, meet multiple and competing deadlines.
Use of considerable judgment to plan and perform unusual and difficult work where only general methods are available, and the making of broad decisions involving considerable initiative and ingenuity.
Working in a diverse team environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Make updates to control boxes and panels (layout, light fabrication and drill press work)
Plan and route wiring in a manner that has a neat appearance and reduces electrical noise to a minimum.
Route inter-machine cables in a manner that is neat and protected from damage.
Use correct tooling and procedures (crimping dies and insulation materials etc.).
Assure that all connections are properly crimped and terminated
Assure that all connection points and mounting hardware are properly tightened
Complete inspection lists and verification sheets
Troubleshoot electrical faults on components and machinery
Mount electrical components on machinery (arc welding may be required).
Meet or exceed planned hours for components and projects.
Education / Qualification
Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program in electricity; a 2-year technical college education in electricity, or equivalent relative shop/field experience of 3 years in the repair of electrical mining equipment preferred.
3 years of experience with motor controls, circuit installations, reading and understanding schematics, PLC's, Digital Drives and general troubleshooting.
Ability to communicate information clearly and directly to co-workers and supervisory personnel both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrates cooperative behavior with coworkers and supervision.
Certified mine electrician or journeyman electrician with training in permissibility and mine law.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
